CA's accelerated certification program offers project teams an experience of total immersion in an implementation simulation without distractions so they will emerge with thorough knowledge of Clarity.  The Clarity Training camp includes a technical track, functional track and project manager track.

Each track includes instructor-led courses, exercises to enforce learning and a mock implementation via a simulated customer implementation scenario.  Our world-class instructors have extensive real-world experience which is reflected in the courses they teach.  Upon completion of this program and the assessment, attendees are awarded Clarity Certification.

A typical camp lasts three weeks, which will include pre-requisite web based training, instructor led training, small group mock implementation and a certification exam.

Below are some of the topics covered in each class although they may vary due to local requirements:

Functional/Project Manager Track
The following topics are covered in the Functional and Project Manager tracks:

  • Project Management, Resource Management, Time and Fundamentals WBT Reviews
  • Workbench
  • Microsoft Project Interface

  • Partitioning
  • Demand Management
  • Financial Management
  • Business Processes (Workflow)
  • Object Configuration via Studio
  • Portfolio Management
  • Risk, Issue and Change Management
  • Financial Planning (Budgets and Forecasts)
  • Capacity Planning
  • Clarity's Project Management Methodology – the U Method

Each topic will be covered by an instructor while students follow along on their own computer.  Each section also contains review exercises and Q&A to help reinforce the learning.

In addition to these structured training sessions, the Functional and Project Manager tracks will spend 40-50% of their time participating in a Mock Implementation that allows the students to meld their classroom learning with a mock “real-life” implementation.  This mock will allow small teams of students to configure a blank Clarity system to meet the needs of a fictional organization with pre-defined criteria.  This supplements the classroom learning with hands-on learning sessions.

Technical Track
The following topics are covered in the Technical Track:

  • Installations
  • Configuration
  • Upgrades
  • Fix Packs
  • Product Architecture Stack
  • Data Model
  • XOG

Each topic will be covered by an instructor while students follow along on their own computer.  Each section also contains review exercises and Q&A to help reinforce the learning.

In addition to these structured training sessions, the Technical track will spend approximately 30% of their time participating in a Mock Implementation that allows the students to meld their classroom learning with a mock “real-life” implementation.  This mock will allow small teams of students to configure a blank Clarity system to meet the needs of a fictional organization with pre-defined criteria.  This supplements the classroom learning with hands-on learning sessions.
